Interface Design for Oldenborg

Designing a Student Portal for the Oldenborg Language Learning Community

Goal: Meet user needs for autonomy over their engagement with Oldenborg’s various requirements. Flip the script from “admin are pressuring me” -> “I’m in charge of my own participation”

Deliverable: A portal enabling users to track attendance and preview upcoming events. This portal is also gamified to foster friendly competition and engagement with the language tables, Oldenborg’s signature program.

My role: Researcher, designer, interviewer

Tools: Figma, User testing

“My Identity, Politics, and Teaching Are All Bound Up”

Magazine issue investigating the intersections of race, gender, and academic hierarchies at Scripps College.
