Web Development for Scripps Data Science
Self-designed project to create an accessible, student-centered website
Goal: Create a community-based, accessible website from scratch. Learn principles of web design and web dev coding languages (CSS, HTML, and Node.js). Answer questions such as “What is data science at Scripps?” and “What can I do with this minor post-grad?”.
Deliverable: I mentored 9 team members in utilizing the human-centered design thinking process, conducting user research, and web design techniques. We interviewed 15+ users, prototyped, and iterated our web designs to create a user-friendly, student-informed product.
